Still Here, Even When I\u2019m Not Interesting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Day 21 – December 14, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I wasn\u2019t insightful. I wasn\u2019t poetic. I didn\u2019t have a revelation waiting politely at the bottom of my coffee cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t crack anything open. I didn\u2019t fall apart. I didn\u2019t stitch myself back together in some neat, inspirational way. There was no big feeling demanding airtime, no sharp edge begging to be explored. And honestly? A part of me kept waiting for something to happen just so I\u2019d know what to do with myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old version of me would\u2019ve panicked at that. She would\u2019ve started narrating, analyzing, reaching for meaning like it was a life raft. She believed that if she wasn\u2019t processing, she was failing. If she wasn\u2019t producing insight, she was wasting time. If she wasn\u2019t interesting, she was disappearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I didn\u2019t do any of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I existed. Plainly. Quietly. Without trying to turn it into content or growth or proof that I\u2019m \u201cdoing healing right.\u201d I moved through the day like a person instead of a project. And that alone felt new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s something unsettling about letting yourself be unremarkable when you\u2019re used to surviving loudly. Trauma trains you to believe that presence must be justified. That rest needs a reason. That staying only counts if you can explain it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But today, I stayed without explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did small things. Normal things. I lost track of time. I forgot what I was about to do and didn\u2019t spiral about it. I let thoughts come and go without interrogating them. I didn\u2019t reach for depth just to prove I still have it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And maybe that\u2019s the point I\u2019ve been circling without realizing it: I don\u2019t need to be compelling to be here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t need a breakthrough. I don\u2019t need a lesson. I don\u2019t need to make my pain eloquent or my healing impressive. I\u2019m allowed to take up space even when I\u2019m quiet. Even when I\u2019m neutral. Even when the day doesn\u2019t give me anything shiny to hold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a strange kind of strength in that. Choosing presence without spectacle. Letting yourself be ordinary after so much intensity. Trusting that your worth doesn\u2019t evaporate the moment you stop narrating your own survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So today, I wasn\u2019t interesting. I wasn\u2019t profound. I wasn\u2019t anything you\u2019d underline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I was here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for where I\u2019ve been, and what I\u2019ve lived through, that feels like its own quiet kind of victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaos in one hand. Grace in the other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And me staying, even when no one is watching<\/p>\n\n\n\n
